VIVIAN “Kidney Donor Hero”

I chose to donate a kidney because I wanted my niece to have a better quality of life. Watching her endure the daily struggles of dialysis and go through emergency open-heart surgery was incredibly difficult— no one should have to live that way if there’s a chance to help.

Donating a kidney is one of the most powerful gifts you can give—it’s not just a medical act, it’s giving someone a second chance at life, freedom, and hope for the future.

Knowing that you can play a role in saving someone’s life changes your perspective. It reminds you just how fragile and precious life truly is, and how powerful it is to show up for someone you love. The experience was both humbling and deeply rewarding. If given the chance, I would do it again without hesitation.
